You can spend hours choosing tiles and taps, then realise the shower tray decides how much room you actually have to move. A little more width, a lower edge or a different shape can make a real difference to a bathroom you use every morning.
If you’re comparing shower trays in Ireland, start with the space you have and the way you want to use it. A compact en suite needs a different solution from a main bathroom where you’re taking out the bath and making room for a larger shower.
We’ve picked ten options from the Crystal Bathroom shower tray range, with a different reason to consider each one. Use the list to narrow down the sizes, shapes and finishes that suit your plans.

Before you choose a shower tray
Measure the whole shower area. Allow for the enclosure, the door opening and the space you need beside the basin or toilet. Marking the proposed tray outline on the floor with tape is a useful way to see whether a bigger size will work.
Check what is happening beneath it. A slim tray doesn’t automatically give you a shower that’s flush with the floor. Your installer needs to check the floor construction, space for the waste and the route of the pipework. Have that conversation before ordering.
Look beyond the colour. Compare the surface, the position of the waste and how you’ll reach it for cleaning. If you’re keeping an existing enclosure, check its dimensions and adjustment range against the new tray. For a curved enclosure, the curve must match too.
10 shower trays to consider
1. CADO White 1200 × 800 mm: a useful starting point for a rectangular shower
The CADO White 1200 × 800 mm is worth looking at early in your search. Its rectangular footprint gives you more length than a compact square tray, while the white finish is easy to work into a scheme with patterned tiles, timber tones or a coloured vanity.
It measures 30 mm high and comes with a waste that can be cleaned from above. We’d shortlist this size when an 800 mm width works for the room and there’s space to stretch the shower along one wall.

2. CAIR White 1500 × 800 mm: room for a longer shower
Taking out a bath can open up possibilities that a small enclosure simply can’t offer. The CAIR White 1500 × 800 mm is one to consider if your plans include a longer shower area.
The stone-effect surface adds texture, and the 26 mm profile keeps the edge visually light. Plan the glass screen and entrance alongside the tray: the full length is only useful if the layout leaves you a comfortable way in and keeps splashes where they belong.
3. CAIR Grey 900 × 700 mm: an option for a narrow en suite
In a small en suite, an extra 100 mm can be the difference between a workable layout and a squeeze beside the basin. The CAIR Grey 900 × 700 mm offers a compact rectangular footprint with a 26 mm height and a matching grey waste finish.
We’d pair the grey with pale wall tiles or warm wood tones. Do try the dimensions for size before committing, though. A 700 mm width saves floor space, but it also gives you less room to move inside the shower.
4. CAIR White 1000 × 800 mm: a little more length without going too large
If a 1200 mm tray would push the rest of your layout too far, the CAIR White 1000 × 800 mm is a sensible size to compare. It keeps an 800 mm width and adds 200 mm of length over an 800 mm square tray.
This model has a mineral acrylic construction, a 26 mm profile and an included waste with access from above. It’s a straightforward option for a bathroom where every fitting needs to earn its space.
5. CAIR Grey 1200 × 900 mm: when width matters as much as length
Two trays can be the same length and still give you different amounts of standing room. At 900 mm wide, the CAIR Grey 1200 × 900 mm gives you an extra 100 mm across the shower compared with a 1200 × 800 mm model.
That makes it worth considering for a main bathroom with space to spare. The grey finish can sit quietly beside similar floor tiles or provide a stronger contrast with white walls. Check that the extra width still leaves enough clearance outside the enclosure.
6. CAIR White 800 × 800 mm: a compact square footprint
Sometimes the right answer is to keep the shower in its existing corner. The CAIR White 800 × 800 mm offers a square base with a low 26 mm edge and a white stone-effect finish.
It’s a useful starting point for a compact shower room or a replacement project with limited scope to move things around. If you’re reusing the glass, check the enclosure’s actual fitting dimensions before ordering; the nominal size alone doesn’t confirm a match.
7. TUKO White 900 × 800 mm: a small step up in space
The TUKO White 900 × 800 mm sits between a compact square tray and the longer rectangular options. Compared with an 800 × 800 mm footprint, you gain 100 mm in one direction without committing to a much larger shower area.
Its 26 mm height, stone-effect surface and white waste finish give it a simple appearance. Put this one on the list if you’re adjusting an en suite layout and can find a little extra length along the wall.
8. TUKO Black 900 × 700 mm: a darker finish in a compact size
A black tray can give a small shower area a clear outline, especially with a black enclosure and lighter surrounding tiles. The TUKO Black 900 × 700 mm combines that look with a compact rectangular shape and a 26 mm profile.
It includes a waste with a black finish, so the detail stays consistent. We’d choose it for the contrast it brings to the room, then keep the rest of the palette fairly restrained. As with any narrow tray, check that the internal space feels comfortable for you.

9. CADO Grey 900 × 900 mm: more space in a square layout
If a square shower suits the room, compare an 800 mm model with the CADO Grey 900 × 900 mm. The extra 100 mm in both directions gives you a larger footprint while keeping the layout square.
This tray measures 30 mm high and includes a waste with a grey finish. It’s worth considering when you want more standing room but a long rectangular tray would interfere with the bathroom door, basin or storage.
10. ALFA Grey 800 × 800 mm: a curved front for a corner shower
A square corner isn’t always the most useful shape on the outside of an enclosure. The ALFA Grey 800 × 800 mm has a curved front, which may help with circulation where the shower sits close to another fitting.
The tray is 32 mm high and comes with a waste that can be cleaned from above. Pair it with a compatible quadrant enclosure. If you’re replacing an existing tray, your installer should check the curve radius as well as the two wall-side dimensions.

Questions worth asking before you order
What size shower tray should I choose?
Choose a size that gives you comfortable standing room and leaves the rest of the bathroom usable. Measure the space, allow for the enclosure and door, and check the layout with your installer. A larger tray can be worthwhile, but so is being able to reach the basin without squeezing past it.
Can a slim shower tray sit flush with the floor?
Some models, including the CAIR and TUKO trays featured here, are listed as suitable for floor or recessed installation. Whether you can achieve a flush finish depends on the floor build-up, drainage and installation method. The stated tray height is only one part of that calculation.
Are stone-effect shower trays made from natural stone?
The CAIR, TUKO and CADO models in this guide are listed as mineral acrylic. Their stone-effect finish describes the appearance of the surface; it doesn’t mean the tray is cut from a slab of natural stone. Check the material specification of the individual product when comparing options.
Is the shower waste included?
The ten product listings linked above include a waste, described on the website as a siphon, with cleaning access from above. Your installer should still check its position, connection and suitability for your shower system.
